Summary : Cancun 7-Day Itinerary
Day1
Welcome! Our primary goal is to get you settled into your new home for the next 7 days and assure you that you have friends in Mexico. The times of our welcome orientations vary, so relax, if you're tired, you can let us know when it is convenient for you to meet us. We'll fill you in on all local customs, familiarize you with the area, and together we can help you decide on the best activities for you while visiting us in the Mexican Caribbean.
Enjoy a refreshing swim, a leisurely dinner, maybe even a margarita, and have a great night's rest, after all, it's been a long day traveling.
Day2
All restaurants are ready to serve you breakfast at 7:00 a.m. sharp, or as late as 11:00 a.m., you set your own pace
A stroll down to the hypnotizing turquoise sea, a couple of laps around the pool or maybe a few yummy Pina Coladas underneath the Palapa while you enjoy a relaxing massage. You're worth it.
Tonight you should be ready to roll!
There is no better introduction to Mexico than experiencing the Mexican Folkloric Ballet! An array of music, dances, costumes, cuisine, and drinks from each of the different states of Mexico. The Mariachi's will fill your heart and soul. You'll hope the evening never ends!
Day3
1,500 years ago, this land was dominated by the Mayan culture and their numerous gods, yet the Mayans vanished with little trace, leaving only questions behind. The energy of the great El Castillo pyramid or the mystery of the sacred well are must-sees in Chichen-Itza and two of only a few things the Mayans left for us. Professional guides will escort you through the day allowing for plenty of personal time.
Tonight is a great night to settle into a lounge chair on the beach and listen to the stories the ocean has to tell.
Day4
How about a Jungle Tour?
Today you'll drive your own speed boat through the Mangrove channels of the Nechupte lagoon, which lead the way to the open ocean and the world that lies beneath. Cancun boasts the second largest coral reef in the world, second only after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. You'll have a chance to see the magnificent life beneath the ocean - colorful tropical fish and mesmerizing coral formations. Expert snorkelers aren't born, they're made! In only 2 ? hours you'll be convinced that Jacques Cousteau was on the right track! If you're now considering taking some dive lessons, just say the word!
Today you'll also learn why taking a siesta is such a big part of Mexican tradition. Go ahead, take a snooze from 2 to 4. There are lots of hammocks around the hotel grounds. Just relax, you won't fall, the local people prefer them to beds.
Tonight it's party time, so let's have dinner during the late seating.
Senor Frogs is our first stop and the type of place that may not be allowed to open in the US. The floor is covered with sawdust, they encourage people to dance on tables and chairs, and all while the reggae band plays. The waiter helps you loosen up with a tequila-filled Jell-O shooter -- it helps adjust your attitude. Which must be true because all the T-shirts say so!
It's only 1:00 a.m. and we can't let you go till you see Coco Bongo! Yes, that's right, Coco Bongo. Dance to the latest techno music in the hottest club this side of Ibiza, while watching the flying Mask trapeze high in the air. What a party, though tomorrow you might feel that you need a vacation from your vacation. It's worth it!
Day5
A great day to sleep late, rest up and enjoy all the activities the hotel staff has lined up for you. In the afternoon we can do some shopping and pick up some souvenirs. The Isla shopping mall is a great place to start. You'll find everything from outdoor cafes to silver jewelry, clothing stores and handicraft shops. The Coral Negro flea market is a great place if you like to bargain for Mexican blankets, onyx chess sets or hammocks. Remember that the prices are only as good as you are a bargainer!
Tonight is also a great night to try one of the many wonderful restaurants that Cancun has to offer. Be it Italian, Seafood, Mexican or Yucatecan. The array of specialty restaurants will surely satisfy the most finicky gourmet.
Day6
Today is our last chance to visit Isla Mujeres. The small fishing island lies seven miles off the coast of Cancun and is a great way to see the more traditional part of Mexico. Three different stops on the island, will take you snorkeling, swimming, visiting a turtle farm, a delicious lunch on Pirate's village with a chance to watch a dolphin show. If swimming with the dolphins is on your agenda, remember to let us know well in advance. The dolphins work for a great union and are very well looked after, therefore they can only work so many hours of the day, yet are in great demand. After lunch as we cruise over the turquoise waters along the coast of the island, we'll have a chance to explore the island by foot, scooter or golf cart, or shop along the pedestrian-only streets on the North Point. A leisurely cruise back to Cancun will have us back on land by five, just in time to freshen up and enjoy our last evening.
Day7
We will make sure that we get you to the airport on time. Along with your belongings, we hope that you take the warm hospitality, the friendly faces, and the friendships you made while our guest in Mexico back home with you. Be sure to visit us again soon because we have so much more that we wish to share with you!
Hasta luego, amigo!
