Cayo Paraiso, a TNT favorite!
Don't miss the most idyllic spot on the north-coast. Speedboats whisk you over to the fantastic desert island Cayo Paraiso, close to the coast of Punta Cana,...white sand, turquoise clear waters, a perfect coral reef and a delightful sea breeze. Take plenty of sun protection and enjoy this sun lover's day out at sea. Discover the most beautiful reef in the Caribbean on a snorkeling-tour with our guide to see amazing coral and colorful fish, optional diving. By contrast you speed through the lush green mangroves of the National Park and learn about the wonders of nature. Lunch in our typical waterfront restaurant at the unspoiled beach of the fishing-village. Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Price is US$78.


Puerto Plata City Tour with Sosua
City tour of Puerto Plata with the San Felipe's Fortress, the Amber Gallery and Brugal's Rum Factory. Afterwards, you will go to Sosua, which was founded by a group of refugees from the 2nd World War. It is here that you will find one of the nicest beaches of the North Coast. You will have time for a walk andvisit some of the 100 souvenir stands. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for US$37.


Outback Jeep Safari
Join us and be Indiana Jones or Crocodile Dundee for the day and let us show you the REAL Dominican Republic. You will be driven through some of the country's most spectacular scenery where you will discover exotic tropical forests, rivers, mountains, secluded beaches and villages where time has stood still for hundreds of years. See the Dominican children smiling and waving as we pass through their villages; ride the current of crystal clear river; learn to "boogie board" in the ocean. Alternatively, for the less adventurous, just relax with the sun on your back and an ice-cold drink in your hand and enjoy the enchantment of this beautiful tropical island so often referred to as the "Jewel of the Caribbean". Daily for guests in Playa Dorada, Sosua, Cabarette and Rio San Juan for US$75.

 
Sample Itinerary

Day1
Upon your arrival in the Dominican Republic, you will be greeted by a TNT Representative and transferred to Puerto Plata. Check in to your hotel (remember that often times your room is not ready until after 3:00pm so be sure to pack a swim suit in your carry-on so you can enjoy the pool or the beach until your room is ready).
Enjoy the day relaxing at your hotel around the poolside, looking at the restaurants' menus, browsing in the shops, etc. Enjoy a great meal (some of these restaurants need reservation at list one day in advance, so you may have your first dinner at your hotel's main buffet restaurant).
After dinner go and enjoy the nightly show at the hotel theatre while you enjoy your favorite drink.
Please come join us for an informal orientation, at this brief meeting we can provide you with all the information you will need during your stay.

Day2
Breakfast starts around 7:30am and is served until 10:00 am or so. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and then head for the Puerto Plata Mississippi tour. On this cultural tour you'll visit many sites of historical importance (you'll see "Altos de Chavon" a Spanish-style artist village, Bacilica of Higuey, and ride a boat along the Chavon river).

Day3
Enjoy this day on the beach. Check out your hotel's daily activities, and perhaps take a water aerobics class or get into the next volleyball tournament.
For dinner (you made your restaurant reservation one day in advance), enjoy one of the a la carte restaurants at your hotel, then enjoy your favorite drink in the lobby. Later you can enjoy the night show or gamble at your hotel casino (some hotels may not have a casino available).

Day4
Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Island of Saona. On this tour, you will be transferred to the fishing village of Bayahibe and board a catamaran headed to the island. Once there you can relax on the beautiful sandy beaches or join in the beach games. You'll be served a delicious buffet lunch. You will return via speedboat through mangrove lagoons where you can view exotic birds in their natural habitat.
Enjoy the rest of the day by the pool or relax in your room until it's time for dinner.

Day5
Enjoy an excellent tour to the "City of the New World" on the Santo Domingo City Tour. Visit the caves "Los Tres Ojos, " the Cathedral of Santa Maria La Menor (the New World's first cathedral), Royal House Museum, the amber museum, and a short stop at the Columbus Lighthouse. There's plenty of free time for shopping and exploring.
Upon your return to your hotel, enjoy dinner, dancing, or just a good night's sleep.

Day6
Being your last full day on the island, enjoy doing whatever makes you happy - perhaps reading under a palm tree, getting a full body massage as you listen to the waves crash. Enjoy the rest of the day by the beach or poolside and in the afternoon make sure to check your departure information for the following day on our TNT Vacations Information Board or binder located at or near the hotel lobby.
At night, enjoy your last dinner at your favorite restaurant.

Day7
Departure day. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel restaurant and please double check your departure time. Please make sure you are always on time at the hotel lobby ready to depart to the airport.

February Carnival: A colorful parade along the Santo Domingo Malecon that takes place the week of Independence Day, which is February 27.
July-August Merengue Festival: This festival is a lively celebration of the country's national music with merengue bands performing at major hotels and on the Malecon in Santo Domingo from the last week in July through the first week in August.
October Puerto Plata's Merengue Festival: A similar festival that is held the second week of October.
December-January Christmas: Celebrations begin in early December and end on Epiphany Day (January 6).
