Currency
|
Mexican currency is the peso and comes in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 peso notes. Coins come in denominations of 20, 10, and 5 pesos and 50, 20, 10, and 5 centavos. US dollars are accepted most everywhere in Los Cabos but it is always a good idea to carry pesos and some form of credit card to avoid any hassles.

110 volts, same as the United States.

Climate
|
|
Summer months are warmer, with highs in the upper 80s, but the sea breeze keeps it cool and comfortable. It seldom rains in the winter. Hurricane season is August - October, and that is when it is most likely to rain.

What To Wear

Bring clothes for the tropics. Light cotton dresses and light jacket for formal wear.

Duty Free Allowances
|
|
You may bring back from Mexico, duty-free up to US$400 worth of articles. Duty must be paid on all merchandise over this amount. This exemption applies only to products for personal use. On articles that accompany you or your baggage. This exemption may include 1 liter of alcohol and no more than 200 cigarettes. A flat rate of 10% will be applied to the first $600 of merchandise in excess of $400. Please be sure to have the second part of your tourist card when you leave Mexico.
